My full name is Gillian Leigh Salerno-Rebic  — and yes, GLSR is a deliberate play on "DSLR," the camera format I first fell in love with. I'm an Austin, Texas-based photographer and proud Texas native with a knack for finding the most magical, intimate settings to frame life's most cherished moments.

Trained professionally in theatre performance and directing, I approach photography the way a director approaches a scene: with an eye for honest storytelling, genuine emotion, and the unscripted moments that make a story truly yours. I'm a documentarian at heart -- I don't manufacture feelings, I find them.

While I've had the joy of chasing sunsets across the world, it's the beauty of small gatherings, the sweet tenderness of engagements, and the free-spirited allure of elopements that truly set my heart aglow. I specialize in micro-weddings, elopements, engagement sessions, portraits, and parties with a particular love for intimate celebrations that prioritize connection over choreography.

What is documentary-style photography? Documentary photography means I'm capturing your story as it actually unfolds, no poses, no highly staged setups, and no manufactured moments. I observe, anticipate, and catch the real moments: the look between two people before the vows, the burst of laughter during a toast, the quiet hand-hold nobody else notices. Think of it as photojournalism for your personal milestones.
